Support through aging, loss, dementia, and caregiving, for the person living it and the family beside them.
More belowLater-Life Transitions
Aging brings changes that no one quite prepares you for: shifting health, changing roles, loss, and sometimes a diagnosis that reshapes what comes next. Support can make the difference in how you navigate it.
A new diagnosis, memory changes, or a season of loss can stir up grief, anxiety, and fear. Therapy gives you a steady place to process what is happening, hold onto your sense of who you are, and make the decisions that matter to you. The goal is not to fix what cannot be fixed. It is to help you meet this chapter with support, dignity, and clarity.
Caring for a parent or partner with dementia or a chronic illness carries a weight that is often invisible to everyone around you, including the grief of losing someone who is still here. Therapy gives you a space that is about you, so you can set sustainable boundaries, ease the daily overwhelm, and protect your own wellbeing while you show up for theirs.
Therapeutic Modalities
A practical, structured approach that helps you notice the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together we identify the patterns keeping you stuck and build concrete tools you can use in the moments that feel hardest. CBT works well for anxiety, depression, and stress, giving you a clearer sense of how to respond rather than react.
An evidence-based therapy designed to help you process difficult or traumatic experiences that still feel present. EMDR uses gentle, guided techniques to help your brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their grip. You don't need to relive every detail or find the right words. The goal is to help you feel less controlled by the past and more grounded in the present.
A compassionate, structured approach for working through trauma at a pace that feels safe. TF-CBT combines practical coping skills with careful processing of difficult experiences, helping you understand how trauma has shaped your responses and build a sense of steadiness again. It offers both the structure and the flexibility to meet you where you are.
A forward-looking approach that focuses less on analyzing the problem and more on building the change you want to see. Together we identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and take practical steps toward them. SFBT is collaborative and hopeful, helping you recognize what's already working and create meaningful progress in a shorter timeframe.
